About this event

The overlap between environmental pressures and degradation on the one hand and the `social dimension? of inequality and human wellbeing on the other hand is of immense importance but under-researched. There is a yawning gap to be filled by a coherent, exciting and interdisciplinary research agenda. This series of seminars will explore and develop that agenda. The goal of this seminar is to bring together these different areas of study and action, to facilitate an interdisciplinary dialogue between them and to develop an agenda for research and policy development. The ultimate policy objective is to link and pursue both environmental and social goals: a climate policy that is equitable and oriented to human wellbeing; a social policy that is precautionary and sustainable.
