Biography
Nikki Sun is a programme manager at the Huth Initiative for a New Political Economy at LSE. She has over a decade of experience working at the intersection of journalism, research and public policy. Prior to joining LSE, she was a research and programme manager at the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative. Before that, she was a researcher at Chatham House, where she studied the impact of AI on employment and labour in China. Nikki began her career in journalism. Before moving to the UK, she was an award-winning journalist and columnist in Hong Kong, where she covered China technology and business. Her work has appeared in publications including Nikkei Asia, the Financial Times, Reuters, and the South China Morning Post. Nikki studied journalism at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and holds an MSc in international political economy from King's College London.
